I am the area general manager for the Aycock Funeral Home locations on the Treasure Coast. We currently have six locations to serve our families, along with two local cemeteries. With well over 200 years of combined experience in funeral service, our funeral home team helps families plan unique and memorable services that honor and celebrate people’s lives. When did Aycock Funeral Home get established on the Treasure Coast?
G. Wade Aycock opened his first Aycock Funeral Home in Stuart, Florida, in 1968, quickly establishing a reputation for providing fine funeral, memorial, burial and cremation services. It is a tradition we carry to this day. We are now a member of the Dignity Memorial® network of funeral, cremation and cemetery service providers. Our core values are Honor, Respect and Dignity. We truly believe in honoring every family because each funeral service should be as special as the life it celebrates. Our difference is in the details because we pay attention to those little things that some might overlook. Once a family walks through our doors, they immediately become a part of our family and having families trust us with their loved ones is the highest honor. When someone experiences a loss, it could easily be the worst day of their lives, and it is up to us as funeral professionals to be with our families every step of the way with honor, respect and dignity.
What do you love about what you do?
I love what I do because I truly believe in what we stand for as funeral professionals. I am so proud to be a part of the Aycock Funeral Home family. Not only do we have a team dedicated to providing the best funeral service possible, we also have a team of family service counselors to help plan for future events. I love that Aycock has professional teams on both sides to take exceptional care of the families we serve. Love and kindness go a long way in our profession and we sure do have a lot to give.
Give a short story about how your business has helped people.
Aycock Funeral Home has proven to be one of the top community supporters throughout the Treasure Coast. On any given weekday or weekend, you will either see George Seliga, myself or another member of our family at some community event. We love giving back to our community, because building trust and relationships starts in our community.
What are the future plans for Acock Funeral Home?
We are constantly evolving as one of the national leaders in funeral service. We were the first funeral home provider in the area to introduce Life Well Celebrated which allowed our families to fully celebrate the life of their loved one. Now we are introducing “Every Detail Remembered” because, as I mentioned before, the difference is in the details. We will also continue to support our local community charities in every way we can, as well as continue to support our local Hospices, Churches, and Treasure Coast Chambers. Our plans definitely hinge on the respect and trust our families give to us, and we look forward to what the future will bring us together.
