An Exclusive Interview with Zachary Allen, Audibel Hearing Centers, Okeechobee
Hi Zach, can you give us a short introduction about yourself?
I’m 28 years old and from Knoxville, TN and I’m 1 of 6 siblings. I’m a Christian and I’m married to my wonderful wife, Codi for three years now.
When and why did you move to Okeechobee?
We moved to Florida, Tradition, in 2017 because my wife got a job at a local hospital that year. We believe that God opens doors and we must have the faith to walk through them. We left our families in Tennessee and moved to Florida, just me and Codi. I started my job in Sebastian and worked there for 6 months and then I was moved over here in September of 2018. I have been so blessed ever since. I love my job and I love the people here in Okeechobee and it is my honor to serve them. My wife and I both have a strong passion for helping people and we are both blessed to do this in the same town.
Can you tell us about your family?
I have 3 brothers and 2 sisters who are all still living in Tennessee. I see them as much as I can because family is everything to me. My wife, who was also my high school sweetheart, is a Physician Assistant and we have been together for 10 years, but married for 3. I believe that we put God first and then others second and then we make time for ourselves. Like I previously stated, family means everything to me!
What do you love about what you do?
I love that I am able to make an impact on people and to be able to interact with people on a daily basis. I am blessed to be able to impact and help so many people. Hearing is such a beautiful thing, and I’m so blessed to be able to help so many do just that. I’m a very personal person, so to be able to meet new people and to build relationships with people is something I truly enjoy. I always joke to my patients once they buy hearing aids, “Once you buy from me, I adopt you and you become part of my family.” It’s true though, they’re not in this alone. It’s my job to help them with everything that comes their way. Even if it’s just to listen to them about personal situations in their lives.
Please give a short story about how your business has helped people.
I believe we have helped people by giving them the gift of hearing once again. I see hearing as a disability and I believe everyone should have the same opportunity to hear! The personal and follow up care of the patient is why I believe our business is so successful. We offer the best personal care, because in this journey... they are not alone!
What are your future plans?
To help, and touch as many lives as possible through the hearing industry.
What is your philosophy on business and life?
Put God first, others second and you will be happy. Take everything as a lesson and learn from it and when one door closes, another will open. Take care of the patient, and you will be taken care of.
