If you don’t already know her, it’s time you meet Dr. Pamela Roberts.
Dr. Roberts went to medical school at the University of South Florida College of Medicine. She completed her General Surgery residency at Orlando Regional Medical Center. She then went on to complete her Vascular and Cardiothoracic Surgery fellowships at Carolinas Medical Center in Charlotte, NC.
Dr. Roberts became one of an elite group of just 200 women nationwide who practice as cardiothoracic surgeons when she joined Dr. Peter Downing at Lawnwood Cardiothoracic Surgery as part of Lawnwood Regional Medical Center & Heart Institute, a member of the American Board of Thoracic Surgery and the Cardiothoracic Surgery Network.
Dr. Roberts was devoted to her work treating patients suffering from heart and vascular diseases, but after all those achievements and years of success, she knew something was missing - balance.
Not only passionate about her profession, Dr Roberts is also passionate about her dogs, Robbie and Mulligan. Both are rescues from Big Dog Ranch Rescue in Loxahatchee, FL.
She also loves to travel and snow ski, but the demands of her work as a cardiothoracic surgeon left little time to enjoy her other interest.

The demands of being a Cardiothoracic surgeon left little time to enjoy her other passions. so after realizing that “ no one goes to their grave wishing they worked more and spent less time with family and friends “ she retired from Lawnwood Cardiothoracic Surgery and opened The Vain Clinic. It is unbelievable that was 12 years ago.
At The Vain Clinic, Dr. Roberts treats patients with varicose and spider veins using the latest technologies like Endovenus Laser Treatment (EVLT), Ambulatory Phlebectomy, Sclerotherapy and Transdermal Laser Therapy.
Since opening The Vain Clinic , Dr Roberts has been able to provide quality personalized care to her patients while spending more time living a life that does not solely consist of work. She still gives talks on Women and Heart disease, which is the number one killer of women. She also has been able to open her heart to love. As pictured on the cover with Steve Watters, who has been instrumental in creating balance in her life. Before you would always find her at Lawnwood, now you may run into her on the golf course, tennis court or paddle boarding with Steve and her dogs.

In these times of uncertainty you can be assured Dr Roberts is safely opened for business by appointment. She arranges the schedule to give patients plenty of time but also allows half hour slots between patients, so that patients do not even need to see one another in the waiting room.
